was kinda expecting this not to work on an old Toshiba CRT from the early 2000s and just took a chance, but what do you know, it works!

My TV doesn't have a power switch and I lost power and now I can't turn the TV on. This remote requires no setup, it controls my Toshiba TV but doesn't.

I bought these for a very old Toshiba TV. This remote works great with it. I just had to add batteries and it worked. No setup required. The buttons are a bit small, but not bad.

Turns my 16 year old Toshiba DVD TV on and off. Channel, volume and mute work perfectly. The menu does not work, does not scan channels. The information doesn't work. None of the DVD buttons work. I will go back and try another brand. I hope that's better.

For some reason the original remote control for my Toshiba TV stopped working. I was very concerned that this replacement would not be exactly what I needed to replace the original, but I was worrying for nothing. It does everything the original did with no problems. I tried two other remote controls for my Toshiba 40L3400U and had to return them. Even though they changed the channel and volume, the Netflix button (the only way to access Netflix on this TV) didn't work. The Netflix button works like all other functions on this remote! I am so happy with this purchase. Now that we have that, we're sure to find the lost remote ha ha ha.

Bought out of desperation, I hooked up an old model Toshiba TV to a DVD player. We didn't have a remote control, so we could only play or stop the DVD, not pause, scroll forward, turn on subtitles or whatever. With this remote I can use the DVD function, which is great! I bought this remote control as a present for my sister. I included two AAA batteries in the kit because the product information states that this remote requires just that. She called me to say the batteries were making no contact and just fell out. Luckily she had some AA batteries on hand, and sure enough the AA batteries worked like clockwork.
