This product is a great accessory for any system. You can also "turn on and off" the incoming remote signal! It's sort of my secret counter for valet and my wife. This bass control does dampen the voltage coming out of the RCs a bit, but that's okay, you have to be anal to notice it (less than 250 mV/not even 1/4 volt)*. I've just gotten back to the car radio after a 25 year hiatus. Anyone who uses aftermarket reinforcement needs one of these things. The blue LED display matches my cluster lighting and the product is heavier than I expected which means good quality. The grip has some play and the device is surprisingly well sealed. So I installed this button for about a week and it works fine. This helps me keep track of my battery as I am using a Hifonics 1700 Brutus amp (which I bought without the bass control) with 2 RE Audio SEXD2 v2. That's great. I've always wanted a voltmeter, remote start and bass control, and most importantly in one set where I don't have to hook up three different devices. Used the diagram on the box to wire it up and works like a charm. You can press the button and it will turn off your amplifier when connected to the remote control cable. I've read reviews that the voltmeter turns on when the amp is turned off and turns off when the amp is turned on. Now I'm just guessing, don't make it obvious when you press the button to turn the amps on when the display says 'off' and say 'on' when you turn them off? I was a bit skeptical before purchasing that the volume or sound quality would be compromised but neither of those fears has materialized, this thing is great.
