While using it in landscape mode it fits my MS Surface 1796 which is 7.9 inches wide and 11.5 inches high. It's not designed to take serious abuse, but should last long enough if treated with a little care. It holds my Surface about 8.5 inches above the desktop (from the desktop to the bottom of the tablet) which is fine for my needs. Installation: I used the table clamp method to attach this mount to my Ikea desk. It didn't take more than 5-10 minutes and was a very simple process. Adjustments: I was able to easily tilt, rotate, etc. the mount into place. This mount starts to sag and falls off after 2-3 days of holding the Surface Pro 4 in your hands. The ball and cup design on the part that connects to the tray feels strong. The pivoting part at the end of the clamp seemed solid. Poorly designed and executed center socket head screw adjustment ruins the whole thing. The product was easy to assemble, but the hand is not strong enough to hold the Surface Pro 4 on the table without sagging.
