Fast speed - high ping

Connected out of the box, installed drivers from website, high speeds (higher than my old adapter and NetGear Wall Extender) but very high latency bursts (via ping in CMD verified) which I don't see when using the NetGear extender. Latency spikes make it unsuitable for online gaming. I'll contact support but right now it's very frustrating and I only have to use it to download games.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Little things

did not install correctly on me

This was not recognized by my Win10 system and after installing the driver from the disc that came with it not only did it not show up but it also made my mouse disappear completely, forcing me to a System Restore. Luckily, I've found that frequent system backups are important because a system crash is always a one-click option. I automatically create system backups several times a day on different drives, external and internal. You can never have too many backups! I use macium. Don't trust any

Works on Linux Mint 19 with included driver

This product works fine on Linux Mint 19.3. The only driver I could find was on the device's minidisk. It worked and this item works better than the WiFi adapter it replaced. However, information on long-term use is not yet available.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Bugs

Works perfectly, easy plug and play installation with no need to install a driver in Windows 10. However, uses AC Wave 1 chipset and consumes much longer antenna, which does not provide additional advantages over devices with shorter antenna and more compact dimensions. I recommend trying smaller devices with newer chipsets.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Neutral

The performance is great, it seems great!

Works very well, plug and play. Excellent communication throughout the house. I was a little surprised by its size, I expected it to be small but it seems big. Probably 4" long, 2.5" wide, and <1/2" thick. When the antenna is outside, its length is closer to 8-9 inches, which sticks out quite a bit from the top of the computer. Personally, I have guessed the size from the picture and didn't check the details and it's about me.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Compatible

e. USB Network Adapter

WILL Block Adjacent USB Ports! it occupies at least 2 ports or a maximum of 3 ports! It's a big boy so it hangs awkwardly and with the vertical USB connector all the weight is on the connector and if you plug it in upside down (e.g. behind a monitor) the vents are now down and the device will Very hot.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Not the Best

High speed - high ping

Plugged in out of the box, drivers installed from website, high speeds (higher than my old adapter and NetGear Wall Extender) but very high latency spikes (confirmed with CMD ping) which I haven't seen on mine with one NetGear power strip. Latency spikes make it unsuitable for online gaming. I'll contact support but right now it's very frustrating and I only have to use it to download games.

Pros
  • Incredibly fast USB 3.0 port. Unlike other wireless USB 2.0 dongles, this product features an incredibly fast USB 3.0 connection. The maximum speed of the USB 2.0 port is only 480 Mbit/s, which the top speed of 5 GHz cannot theoretically achieve at all. But USB 3.0 is different, its transmission speed is 10 times that of USB 2.0 port, which can fully meet AC1900 Wi-Fi transmission speed requirements.
Cons
  • slightly dented

Cudy - Latest Brand Available!

This is the second Cudy Wi-Fi product I have owned. Both are superior in features to all others at such a low price. I used to buy TP-Link but their products have doubled in price since they became popular. So I decided it was time to try another inexpensive brand! Love Cudy, ready to go, simple plug and play for Windows 10. If you're looking for a great USB adapter for your Windows 10 PC, look no further. I would recommend this to all my friends. (I'm a retired computer geek if that helps)…

Pros
  • High Performance Antennas. 2 external antennas with high gain and 2 internal antennas increase the sensitivity of the WiFi adapter, establish long-distance connections and provide strong wall penetration.
Cons
  • Legacy
