☕ Cuisinart DCB-10 Silver Automatic Cold Brew Coffee Maker Review

I like the idea of stirring coffee grounds, but this machine is too delicate. The carafe is terribly thin (I haven't broken it yet). The filter broke in less than 6 months of weekly use. Detachable parts are not easy to clean thoroughly. Soaking didn't help clean the filter. Up to the 7th month, the coffee does not run completely into the pot. The coffee is not as full as I hoped, like the cold coffee I buy at the cafe. I still let it steep for 12 hours. Pre-ground beans may be too small.

Bought as a gift they loved it until the release lever stopped working. It's less than 2 months old and I can't return it or exchange it for a new one. Cuisinart has a ridiculous guarantee, you have to pay to send it back and you have to pay for handling. I have had many warranty issues in the past and have never heard of a customer paying for a new unit to be replaced. As the name suggests, this manufacturer has been working fine for 3 months. The coffee was delicious and easy to make. But when washing the filter basket by hand, the screen was torn wide open. I went to Cuisinart to order a replacement part and it has been in 'pending' status for over a month. The first few weeks have been great. However, the main filter broke when cleaning it because the plastic frame had sharp edges and this three-filter system didn't work so well. I really wanted to love it and spent a lot of time trying to get good results . This cold brewer's speed is great, but he has too many issues and one health issue that I don't recommend him for. The numerous filters are cells of the same size, so they don't really do anything, and the end result is a really cloudy brew that needs to be filtered again with a paper or muslin filter.
