You can't always rely on Cuisinart!

I bought a Cuisinart coffee maker at a local department store a few years ago. I liked it and had absolutely no problems with it. So when it came time to buy a new coffee maker, I decided to purchase an identical coffee maker through Revain (July 1, 2017) as I couldn't find it in any of my local department stores. At first everything was fine, but then the carafe began to leak along the seam. Most recently, when I filled the coffee filter basket with coffee and turned on the coffee maker for…

Makes good coffee. My experience was good except

Makes good coffee. My experience was good, except that: if the lid isn't all the way down, the coffee doesn't drip, it sloshes. I'm used to it, but when others try to make coffee at home, they just close the lid without pressing it down and spill it. 9 months and quickly peels off in less than a year. This product has not been abused and we use it once a day and don't keep a heating pad on. The design of the top lid and the hotplate make the product unsuitable, although the coffee is good…

The stainless steel pot is perfect for RVs. It could also be hotter.

Bought for a motorhome on the recommendation of other campers. Steel pot, no broken glass. 4 cup limit, which to me means a large cup that's perfect. I'm tired of cleaning my french press so hopefully this will bring me back the convenience. I plan to use 16.7 ounces. bottle of water every day. I would give it 5 stars, but could you guys turn on ONE filter at Cuisinart to try it out now? Now I have to go to the shop for filters. UPDATE: I've been living with it for a few weeks now and use it…

Excellent and inexpensive small coffee maker

I bought this Cuisinart coffee maker for my office. I wanted to avoid the expensive coffee pods that Keurig would use. The Cuisinart coffee maker does an excellent job of making coffee. The brewing temperature is more than sufficient. The burner will automatically shut off after 30 minutes, which is a good safety feature. The decanter is made of metal so it won't break if dropped. If you're making a full pot that says it's 4 cups, it's actually more like 2 regular sized coffee cups/cups. For me

Lots of design flaws but I still blame myself

I'm mad at myself for not giving more importance to negative and too many positive reviews. I paid at least $15 more to have the Cuisinart name on my counter and at my age I should have known better. What's wrong with this 4-cup coffee maker? Simply about everything. Right out of the box I spent fifteen minutes trying to figure out how to remove the decanter lid and I don't think I'm a stupid person! Then I had to fiddle with opening the lid of the kettle myself (it turns out to be a very tight

Robust, simple and reliable; makes good coffee.

Unbreakable stainless steel carafe. I had one of these coffee makers for a long time - at least 10 years - until it finally broke down. It worked so well I bought another to replace it. Cuisinart hasn't changed the design at all except for the improved on/off switch. Keep in mind that it only makes four 5-ounce cups, as clearly stated in the instruction manual. Be careful when inserting the plug. The circuit breaker in the protected socket can be easily switched off with your thumb. If the…

Don't believe the negative reviews

I used to have a 12 cup coffee maker which was actually too big as I'm the only coffee drinker in the house. Not only was it too big for my use, it also took up extra space on my counter because it was too tall to fit under cabinets. So I thought about buying a smaller coffee maker but the one I had still worked very well so there was no point in buying a new one. Then the carafe broke which gave me the opportunity to buy a smaller one. I have read the previous reviews for this product and I…

Good taste, strength and temperature; Can get HOT

I grunted and mumbled a little coffee maker and ended up buying it at my local B, B and B. I've been using the Cuisinart DCC-1100 12-Cup Kettle for a couple of years, so I can compare these two cars well. I also took some photos. First, it's a compact machine. It says 4 "jars" - meaning 5 ounces. Cups. Many/most coffee machines are set up in this way. The water measurement is very accurate (similar to the DCC-1100). I don't use a pot to fill the reservoir - I just use a spare water bottle or…
