Extremely disappointed with this coffee maker

After several years of using Mr. Coffee I decided to update it when it was no longer in service. They say this coffee tastes better. I will also say that the permanent filter is useless. You still need to buy paper filters. And so often this car just makes a mess. the degree of grinding bubbles. You think the pot isn't dripping anymore, remove the pot and at some point the coffee lands on the burner. I'll get rid of it soon and go back to a cheaper and more reliable one.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Actually I have no bad feelings about it, everything is fine

Looks great on the kitchen worktop

Putting a carafe on a hot stove isn't easy. It sticks to the bottom of the coffee grounds container. The buzzer didn't work either. The screen goes blank except for the clock and a small button to turn the screen on when not in use. No protruding handles. Real enrichment. I'm sorry it didn't work for me. Maybe I'll try again later when my ninja is dead. 14 cups may seem like a lot, but 4 cups or less will do. It is very convenient to make a full carafe when there is company in the evening and…

Sprinkle, Steam and Sticks

I really wanted to love this coffee maker after CR rated it so highly. The controls were really well thought out and easy to use. We had it for about 2 1/2 months. As mentioned in another review, it is difficult to get the carafe in and out of the hot plate as the top of the carafe makes too much contact with the grinder/filter holder. The CLEAN button was often pressed in the coffee machine itself. No other coffee maker I've owned has done that. At the end of the process, it fizzes and…

Not recommended for espresso

I've seen this work for regular drip coffee or French Press. Grinding is just not acceptable for espresso. That's not very good and not even very good. I ran it on the best settings and took two shots. The first shot was fired in a big way. The second was slightly better, but both extracted quickly, were watery, and almost no foam. My knife grinder produces a more consistent grind and makes much better espresso, and the manual for it even says NOT to use it for espresso (which is why I use a…

Better performance expected

So this coffee maker is very well designed. It's easy to use, quiet, doesn't leak, and you can adjust the temperature of the warning label to keep your freshly brewed coffee from overcooking. Removing the carafe is easy as you lift it by the handle and tilt it, it slides right out and no spills. Overall, Cusinart has done a good job. And it looks good on the table. Very minimalist. It comes with some filters as well as a gold filter, you should use a paper filter. You may not believe me now…

Delicious coffee, consistently high temperature, easy to program

When my Hamilton Beach coffee maker decided to stop working after 7 years of daily use, I looked at consumer reviews to see what they recommend and saw the Cuisinart DCC -T20 as one of the best. I ordered one from Revain that same day, along with a box of Melitta #4 Cone coffee filters. I've been using the same brand of coffee beans and grind (I have a burr grinder) for years, so I could easily compare the "cup quality". I can tell you without hesitation that the Cuisinart DCC-T20 coffee maker…

UPDATE: 9/14/2021 I am so disappointed in this unit that I would think twice before buying a Cuisinart product again buy : The quality of the moonlight remains decent. Not great but good. I'm still sticking with most of my original "good" comments below. THE BAD: The glass carafe broke while cleaning! GOOD LUCK IN THE REPLACEMENT SEARCH! >:-/ Do this disposable brewery for $100! Access to the water tank is no longer a minor disadvantage - it's really annoying! It is almost impossible to fill
