It's beautiful, even scary. Best among electric grinders

I really like this grinder. Stick to coffee beans. The instructions say other things will dull the blades. The bowl is pretty small, but I think what that really means is that it grinds the beans faster and more thoroughly. I find the degree of grinding of a full bowl very fine in about 15 seconds. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Like it better than Krups

After using and wearing out the previous one, a competing Krups grinder was tried. Krups works very well and grinds even better, but leaves a small amount of coffee near the blades. So this Cuisinart coffee grinder was ordered to replace the first one. It works great, comes in black or white, and all the ground coffee pours out easily.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Driving me insane

Buyer warning! - Coffee grinders

You should consider negative reviews! - Only used about 12 times in three weeks. - Last time they thought it would explode and start a fire. I started grinding, I heard a pop and a bit of smoke coming from the bottom of the unit. Unplugged it immediately and threw it in the sink, where it continued to heat up as we watched the body (the white part) actually expand for about an hour before cooling down. I think it's a fake / fake. The item was returned as defective.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not satisfied with everything

Coffee grinder Cuisinart DCG-20BK Coffee Bar, black

This morning I used a coffee grinder for the first time. Worked great. I looked at many different grinders before deciding on this one and bought it based on the great reviews. I wonder why Cuisinart stopped producing it? This would be an issue with a larger device, but knowing better than to expect this cheap little device to be 'repairable', this has not been considered. Hopefully it holds up as well as people say it does. crossed fingers

i can't win Barr grumble.

I have tried very expensive grinders, grinders, automatic grinders and I keep coming back to these. The New York Times keeps writing about the need for a burr grinder to get an even grind to avoid bitter coffee, but I think this is getting to Labor. 99% of people won't notice the difference. You'll get a consistent (enough) grind if you know what you're doing and give it some trial and error to dial in a specific grind. I use an Italian Bialetti press and this grinder helps me. Make fantastic…

Please read this description carefully.

This product Cuisinart DCG-20BK Coffee Bar Coffee Grinder, Black IS FINISHED OUT BY MANUFACTURER, it would probably be great if I just wanted to grind spices. As a coffee grinder it only works if you need to grind enough for a 4 cup coffee maker. (The descriptor saying 12 cups is misleading.) Also, you can't overfill it with beans - if you do, it won't grind at all. And the little motor gets pretty hot, which adds to my frustration at not just buying millstones. My Cuisinart coffee maker? Now…

  • An absolute legend

"Bowl " cannot be removed for cleaning.

EDIT - After a few months of use I threw it away and bought a new one. I'm used to a mug that doesn't come off, but the cord storage was TOTALLY CRAZY! It was almost impossible to get the cord into the little, um, pouch they had provided for him. When I say I threw it away, I mean I literally opened the back door and threw it with all my might! (Now I have to save the pieces) Original post - I don't use them for coffee, I use them for herbs and spices. With my old one, I washed the bowl in the…
