TERRIBLE ! on coffee grinders

POOR EFFICIENCY, OVERHEATS EASILY, MISSES MANY NUTS AND ON ALL THE CUPS ARE FULL SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE AND CLEAN. CUISINART HAS A GOOD REPUTATION FOR KITCHEN APPLIANCES BUT IN THIS CASE YOU SHOULD GO BACK TO THE RIZPLACE!

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • I will not say anything

Poor electric grinder design

I have been a Revain customer for over 16 years and have only returned one item in all that time. Now do it together. As with other previous reviewers, it works, but only the aluminum mug is removable while the blade, which is permanently attached to the mug, remains locked, making it impossible to remove the mug for washing. Only used twice. I could still use it as it works but I can't wash it in the dishwasher as the blade won't come off. Very bad design. I am going to buy a spice and nut…

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Great price

Do not buy! Many defects

Do not buy!1. The blade doesn't fit snugly into the base so my spice seeps all over the space between the cup and the base.2. The engine stalls very easily. I tried to revive it by putting it in the fridge/freezer to cool the motor and it works again. But the motor is too weak.3. Once failure occurred, the shell and base were fully bonded and became inseparable. The knife does not rotate. Bye. The mill grinds things into powder, but there are better mills out there. It's not worth the price.

  • Absolute legend

Stopped working after 4 months; "Guarantee " is a joke

I really liked this little grinder - it was so good for nuts and cinnamon; but he stopped working abruptly two days ago and shows no sign of life. The "guarantee" that I wish I knew before I bought it says: First, I must ship the product to New Jersey at my own expense, which will cost around $15; Then add a check to Cuisinart for an additional $10 for "shipping and handling". All so they start looking at a broken coffee grinder. For example, spend another $25 on something new that costs $35…

  • Great design

Free guarantee Cost 72% of the original product

Terrible warranty, great product! One year product warranty. The product stopped working after a year. We were asked to send it back so they could send us a new product. We paid $18 for shipping and they deducted $10 to ship a new product. The new product cost us $39. AMAZON should stop selling these products. The warranty must include a free replacement. the consumer must not spend 72% of the cost on warranty services OR the warranty statement must clearly state that the warranty is close to…

Grinds unevenly. And how does the degree of grinding get into the cup?

What I like best about this grinder is that it is not as noisy as other grinders I have used. 20 seconds, which is enough for less than 1/2 cup of beans. I've attached a picture showing a fine grind at the bottom and a coarser grind at the top. There is also a residual cut under the bottom of the cup. Ever forget to do something that contains moisture. Overall, it's disappointing that Cuisinart didn't get it right. If I could return it I would. Will probably go back to the basic KRUPS coffee…

Oh my god this is so fast and fun

OK be careful it was so much fun lol so we used it for: Fresh dried garlic, freshly dried basil, brown sugar, and corriander, omg the garlic there WAS 15 pounds of FRESH garlic chopped in a food processor - also bought here in the same purchase for said garlic lol then dried then in this magical little creature was placed and the lid was pushed down and we wali watched it turn to dust no we just held it for a few moments and removed the lid. DO NOT DO THAT. DO NOT LEAVE THE COVER FOR 30…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

I bought this after doing a lot of research and reading a blog that rated it as the #1 1. lists between grinding spices and nuts. But on second use I see the following issues: 1. The jar/jar has a gap under the blades as mentioned in some other reviews. I didn't understand that part why there is a gap in your design for something to get into the mill motor. I made a mess on the kitchen table cleaning it. Anyway, 2. There isn't an ergonomic holder on the bottom of the blades so I couldn't remove

Pros
  • It's a pleasure
Cons
  • Is there anything I can add
