In just 2 months the paint on the burner has already peeled off! It was a warranty replacement, the first was the same. The unit itself works great but Cuisinart really needs to address this issue with the paint used on the burner plate. Once worn out, it will cause rust on the plate, which will soil the bottom of the carafe. Due to this defect, I cannot recommend the purchase of this device at this price.

I love the way they look and the dual functionality is perfect too. One thing to note is that while the machine is brewing coffee, the K-cup side of the machine is off and vice versa, so you can't do both at the same time. difficult to pour water into the machine. I thought they must be crazy, but apparently they really are. I try to rotate the machine before filling so the tank is more accessible and yet I seem to spill some water on the counter every time.

Copper goes well with our countertop AND makes great coffee! The only negative I can give is that you can't brew the pod while brewing the pot. You have to wait until the pot is ready. For the most part I like this coffee maker and the pros outweigh it. Here are my thoughts on the pros and cons of this particular device. ADVANTAGES: A true dual system with independent reservoirs for pot and k-cup side. The coffee brews quickly and the heating timer is adjustable so you don't have to go back to a cold pot.
