I can vouch for both this and the cheaper fabric designer strainer (white). They both strain half a gallon of yogurt, leaving a fairly clear whey. Yoghurt is easy to get - put it on the lid as other reviewers (and instructions) have indicated. Be careful when washing the screen and you shouldn't have any problems. I think the fabric worked a little better (same brand). I gave mine away when I thought I would stop making yogurt.

I make yogurt every week. I like to strain it and have used cheesecloth and a nut bag in the past. I'm never wrong when I transition my yogurt from my Instant Pot to the old-school methods. But it's easy to use! Not a drop was spilled when decanting fresh yoghurt. What they call a tray (I think they are) is great for covering and the whole thing fits in the fridge. When I'm done, the colander is easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I love this thing!

I love this thing. The only confusion I had with this device initially was when I poured in some fresh yogurt and it went right through the filter membrane and the yogurt ended up on the floor. too large this is not the case.
