Cummins Filtration FS53000 Fuel Filter Review

I attempted to install this filter today and it only went about an inch up the oval tube and NOT further! It wouldn't come off either. It took me over 20 minutes to take it off by pulling it up and rocking it back and forth. After taking it off, I looked at the oval o-ring and noticed that it had scratches like it was "too tight". I oiled it before trying to put it on. I had to put the old filter on the old filter as it was not possible to get a new one.

I ordered these filters for my 2015 ram diesel truck and they both had a factory defect. I sent them back and ordered them from the dealer. I recommend you check your filters (even standard filters as sometimes the inner membrane of the outer filter is not properly bonded to the base of the filter. These Fleetguard filters had several or more large areas that were not bonded and usually the dealers just have a tiny spot (if i hope this helps and if i'm wrong please let me know.

Exactly as described. The product is the same part that comes from a standard truck. EXACTLY THE SAME. Fits perfectly and everything. It has a green underside and is original. You can't go wrong with this product. If I were to make a suggestion, you guys wouldn't fold the o-ring the way you do. This can lead to premature wear. Not that it matters much or not at all, just a suggestion. Maybe even add a very small tube of o-ring lube to prevent sticking. In any case, great work! This…
