I do not recommend. good for kitchen and dining room

Wms-Sonoma carries junior chef's knife required but apparently no more. I ordered these. It's hard to use and see where a child could hurt themselves because it takes so much pressure to "tear" the food you're "cutting". I do not recommend.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Brief instructions

They cut easily into skin

I like that they are made for children/toddlers. Thought it would be a safe idea for my almost 3 year old who likes to help out in the kitchen. After removing them from the ties, I was cut with one of the "safe" knives. I will not let my child try them if I cut an adult's skin. I can only imagine what they can do with my son's fingers.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Big and chunky

A must if you have a little budding chef at home!

My son is 3.5 years old and loves to cook or at least helps me to cook. So I got this set of knives that are pretty safe for these little kids. My son loves it while it's set. He used it for tomatoes, onions, greens, beans, and all those veggies that cut easily. Cleanup is very easy and I get my son to finish cooking by cleaning the knives and putting them away. Thank you for such a wonderful invention.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Doesn't cut, but cuts veg/fruit perfectly!

Great for teaching kids how to use a knife (especially kids who wouldn't be trusted with a real knife!). I've tried to cut myself with it (yes lol) and I can't! But it works great with fruits and veggies. Highly recommended as a great tool for kids to help you in the kitchen! My kids love it and call it "their knives". I find that sometimes I even reach for them. However, do not use it to cut tall cakes! But a sheet cake, perfect.

Pros
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Expensive

The best children's knife!

Our 2.5 year old son likes to help in the kitchen, my husband is a professional cook so we cook all the meals we eat at home. So we did a lot of research and, after much hesitation, decided on these knives. I'm really glad we did, now our son can help us cook and we don't have to worry about him cutting himself. My husband tested the knife on himself and he never cut himself, so we gave it to our son. Our son has always been a big eater but now he is so happy eating the food he helped prepare…

Pros
  • Like everyone still
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Very difficult to use - chef's knife

I know these are kid's knives but I was hoping they were a bit sharper. These are very stupid. They actually work by applying force to the cutting object and moving the hand back and forth to eventually cut through. When you cut soft vegetables (like tomatoes), the tomato becomes pulp, not a slice or cube, and slicing even cucumbers requires significant effort. I have a very strong 5 year old who loved helping his mother cook but she didn't like it at all. You don't really need 3 knives either,

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Compatibility

Too easy to get dirty for kitchen and dining room

Love the idea of these knives and was glad my kids got to help out in the kitchen. One of the very first times we used them, I had the kids cut strawberries. I haven't seen any other reviews that said strawberries stain knives and I think strawberries would be a natural first choice for any parent who wants their kids to learn how to cut food so it's amazing how easy they are stain these knives. The knives pictured have been cleaned and washed in the dishwasher at least 4 times and the middle…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Clarity

We recommend these knives to everyone.

We're one of those 'home school', 'return to natural', 'do it all ourselves' weird families. Our children want to get involved from a young age and we try to encourage this. These knives allow it. We let a 2 year old work it very successfully, the typical 5 year old does it well and proves time and time again that knives don't cut through skin. (And yet they cut the chicken and are still trying to figure it out!). And they're accurate enough (like a metal knife) to be used by a picky…

Pros
  • Confidence inspiring
Cons
  • Not trendy
