Nice but cheap material

This item looks very shiny and is well made. Yes, it's true that it looks shiny, but the material it's made of is billed as "cheap lightweight plastic". I like the look, but the price doesn't suit me. The acceptable retail price should not exceed $2. I was tricked into paying more for an item at Dollar Store.

Doesn't match Kurt Hitch

Like most companies these days, one department doesn't communicate with the other. I have a new Class III Curt hitch that I just installed on my 2016 Kia Sorento so I thought this Curt hitch cover would fit perfectly but I was wrong I spent 20 minutes trying to wrap the plastic around cut off with a pocket knife because the holes didn't match. for inserting a 5/8" locking pin. It looks great when put on and since I had to customize it there is no play or rumble.

Requires modification to hitch cover

Received my hitch cover from Curt Manufacturing today and was pleased with the quick delivery. I printed the III% sticker and placed it on the cover for a personal touch. But when I tried to put it on my hitch I ran into a problem. The crease on either end of the actual cover didn't allow it to slide all the way, and the holes didn't line up with my clutch pin. I have to enlarge the holes to make it fit. Otherwise it was exactly what I expected from a plastic clutch cover.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Out of style

Not the best - hitch accessories

They were cheap and barely worked. I bought two for two different cars and clutches. In both cases, the holes do not match. I was able to insert a pin into the one I installed, but I had to force it through. If they were metal, this probably wouldn't be possible. I'll probably just cut off the part that's protruding into the hole, but I don't have to. My guess is that the width of the reinforcement around the hitch hole is in contact with the sloped sides and prevents them from slipping…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Exchange item

Lots of different hitches in the world so I had to use a Dremel grinding wheel to add 1/8" to the pin hole to get a pin for my 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the standard tow package. I use this to connect 2 led lights to my reverse lights and it's perfect. Easy on and off with hitch and power, VERY bright! Now I can see better and I can be seen better with 3000 lumens backup better lol. All assembled for less than $30 plus the $12 cost of locking pins (mostly Revain) and a bit of effort. Thank…

Pros
  • Happy for now
Cons
  • I'll write back later

Good for what it is

This item worked well for me because I wanted a case that looked good and had a hole that matched the hole in the receiver so I could use it can close with a zipper place to prevent it from falling off or being stolen. The downsides are that this item is hard plastic and fits loosely inside the receiver, so you'll need to secure it with a pin, zip tie, or tape around the part that goes into the receiver to hold it in place. If you're looking for a tough, durable rubber case that fits snugly…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Good option for towing products and winches

This fork is exactly what I was looking for. I installed a Curt hitch on my 2012 Explorer and was looking for a plug for it to keep out the elements. I found a group I liked, but it cost $30 and had reviews of rust, corrosion, or emblems that fell off after a short while. So I went with a simple plastic style so it doesn't rust quickly. I don't know how long it will last but for the price it seems like decent quality. It's not super thin or flimsy plastic, but it's still plastic so it may crack

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
