Very poor product Best trailer accessory

Doesn't work, it's junk, no pressure. I thought it would be better but I was wrong. I will return it as soon as possible In the end you will get it back like me

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Update availability

Not impressed with clutch parts

Sounds like a great idea not using tools but I couldn't tighten it enough and twisting to tighten it was quite painful and broke my arm almost as normal. I think it's better to just take the stabilizer bar with screws and tighten it with tools. I returned it.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Short instructions

Good idea but unreliable

I thought it would be easy and practical but if I overtighten the screw I cannot close the clamp and if I leave it loose enough to close the yoke, Don't engage the clutch and don't let it rattle. I would also say that the clip was aluminum and didn't feel very strong.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some little things

Smart doesn't outweigh functionality

The tool-less design is smart and that's what made me choose it over traditional products. But part of the lever is aluminum, and if you're trying to clamp it under high pressure, aluminum on aluminum sticks and sticks. Bad design. High-pressure sliding contact surfaces must be harder than the others to prevent seizure. Technique 101.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Updates

I've had this crap for three years now.

After discussing the problem with my son-in-law I went looking for a solution and found an anti-rattle clamp from Curt. I heard about Curt and liked the idea that it requires no tools and works with both hollow and solid couplers. I thought I might get in trouble as there is very little room in my receiver and hitch to mount such a device but once I wiggled it it fitted perfectly as I had hoped. Easy to use and solved my problem. It's worth the price of $27.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Some flaws

A few words of information

When pulling with a standard hitch the clamp should push the hitch DOWN. When towing with a weight distributed hitch, the clamp MUST push the hitch UP. The first thing I did was replace the included 3/8-24 nut with the nylock version. Unfortunately after installing the ratchet to take photos for this review I have come to the conclusion that THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN. I will return it on Monday. My picture shows significant wear on the cam and crossmember after only two installations. Aluminum/steel

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Null

Count me among the disappointed customers; won't stay tight

I love the idea of a tool-less anti-rattle clamp that makes it easy to install and remove my hitch to spread the weight off my truck. The problem is that it just doesn't work. If I tighten the nuts on the clamp just enough to stop the rattling, the articulating arm is almost impossible to close and even harder to open without a pry bar (which I don't trust because the construction isn't that solid). . If I don't tighten enough, the swing arm won't stay closed and the rattling will continue…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Good but not great
