Good workmanship and solidity. My new F250 had an oversized tow receiver (standard on this model) and needed to be 'tightened' to a smaller size. The alignment with the existing holes was perfect.

This adapter fits well and the holes match perfectly. This is good because it has stops to keep it from slipping too far. It will adjust a factory 3" Ford clutch to 2 1/4" and then to 2" as shown. That's the one you want.

I have a 2020 F2020 with a 3" hitch. I didn't want to try and align TWO sleeves to fit my heavy EQ hitch. Well it lined up perfectly and sat on the flared "ears" so all the holes lined up. Terrific! I also bought a longer Curt 5/8" pin to protect my knuckles. Comfortable fit with room for a clip.

If you own a 2017 and newer Ford Super Duty with a 3" receiver then this is a must have product. Firstly, it fits tighter with less rake than the factory version, and the best part is that the small grommets prevent the adapters from pushing in too hard when fitting a heavy hitch to your truck. Give Kurt the opportunity to fix a design flaw at the Ford factory.

First I bought a 3 inch to 2 inch adapter that fits but extends a couple of inches beyond the receiver so that leaving more room for your chains and wiring harness to the receiver. I do not want it. This CURT 45408 is flush when installed. Another advantage is that 2.5" and 2" are practically interchangeable on the fly. It looks clean and is solid. Ford had to equip its trucks with it.

I bought this to use on a Ford Super Duty. It seems well made and clearly fits my 3" receiver to work with the ubiquitous 2" ball mounts. This isn't the first adapter I've used, but it's the first I've seen little lugs on the end that prevent it from being pushed far into the receiver - a nice design feature that sets this adapter apart from the usual adapters out there.

I was confused by what other reviews were saying about this Super Duty fitting. Since the new F250s are fitted with a 3" hitch, the more common 2.5" hitch requires a female hitch. You only need the inside of this adapter. The exterior is the same as on the truck (so not good). This will allow the inner sleeve to snugly fit the flush insert and align with the coupling pin hole. And it's cheaper than buying a Ford OEM.

Hole drilled too far towards receiver hole. I don't want to start a new article, but if you were in need you could. The protrusions on the end prevent it from penetrating far enough to line up. Also, I had three different 2" constructions, all of which dangled fairly loosely in the adapter just sitting on the bench. A bit normal, but it seems enough that if you don't tug on something, you'll hear a knock when you turn it.
