I have used these keys for many things in the garage and around the house. They are a bit slippery than I thought on smooth surfaces.

Broke on first use. I've used it to protect the finish by removing the grip from the fountain pen to swap out the cartridge (which I find easy). Didn't last, the rubber slipped and broke.

I bought these to be able to take apart telescopes and camera lenses. The big one is a bit big but it can be used. The smaller one is just what I needed. It adheres strongly but does not attack the surface. I'm sure they will be just as good tools when used on a car.
