Custom Install Parts Center Console Cupholder Replacement Pad Compatible With Ford F-150 2004-2014 (Tan) Review

Fits perfectly to the factory armrest/middle rest! I was surprised as the top is hard plastic (not vinyl covered foam like the original) but that just means I'll never have to replace it again. A huge improvement over the old, crumpled foam pad that was torn off around the edges. The color goes well with other plastics in the truck.

I haven't installed this product yet, not sure I'll be using it at all! It's a hard, very hard piece of plastic. This is not the soft vinyl pillow you have now. I'm not sure how it will feel once I take the time to install it. This is not at all what I expected. Maybe I missed the description "This is not an OEM part"? Know I can be wrong, it can last longer and last better. But I don't see it!

My 2004 F-150's console environment is worn out. This replacement fits perfectly. The only tricky part was removing the bottom white plastic mounting plate from the original backing. Some of the retaining ears broke off, but they slid easily into the console where they would spend their days. The color matched perfectly, the new device stood securely. The material feels like a hard ABS-like material as opposed to the original closed cell foam.

Follow the video instructions on the Amazon page to remove the old part. It took about 20-30 minutes on medium difficulty. If you have hands and a drimal tool, this shouldn't be a problem. When the new part arrived it took 10 seconds to install and it fits perfectly. Be careful when choosing colors. I ordered the wrong color but it still looks good so I just took it. I think it's fair for the price as all other methods of repairing this part cost a similar amount and take longer, not to mention

I would like to say that this is a perfect replacement for an item that does not work in all F-150s, especially my 05 F-150. I liked the fit, nice and tight. I drilled holes in the white part of a Ford because it just won't come out of the center cup holders. I found the seams and drilled them out. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the holes and move the latches holding the white part down. You need to use a plastic pry bar when you take it off one by one and hold it. Like the others, the factory will flake over time. I was fine at first, but as I was lifting the console back and forth it started shaking too much for me. It looked bad too. I went ahead and removed it. I took a large flat head and carefully went around the edges. Be careful not to damage the edges of the console. I broke off some clips from the old one. Perfect replacement. All in all it took about 30 minutes to disassemble the old pad and install a new one.
