Should it be longer you may want to let some of the entire rod hang down until you have cut off enough to fit the mold completely. If your soap is still soft, it may break if some of it isn't supported. Overall the price is still good, and it works if you use it carefully and put something under the dangling soap.

They work as I hoped! They aren't the best quality in the world but I didn't expect them to be like this. They work well for a beginner soapmaker who wants bars of soap that are beautiful enough to sell. A lot of people noticed their soap break, but that wasn't a problem with mine. I dropped it on the floor once thinking it might break but it didn't! I'm happy with what I got for the little I spent on it!

I liked the idea of a complete set so I went for a used one that gave a $10 discount! I wouldn't mind minor scratches and cosmetic imperfections so I ordered a used one. But the soap mold had snapped off a large piece and the cutter was unusable with a slide block glued to it and had large cracks along the bottom edge. The screw connecting the bottom and sides was completely missing. Could be better quality. i give it back I will never buy used.

Delivery didn't take long, longer than I wanted but I gave those three stars so I'm not giving those three stars because it was chipped and a bit dented. Everything looks fine except the main part where the soap was supposed to go has chipped off. I hope it doesn't scratch my soap. I guess we'll find out when I have the rest of the materials needed to craft it.
