Great little device, very small.

Small size, fits a 2-socket bottom outlet but leaves enough space for the top outlet. I use it under the kitchen sink to plug in the dishwasher while the other outlet is used for garbage disposal and connected to the light switch. This device is easy to use. Just plug it in and connect the device or electronics you want to protect from surges. It's rated at 900 joules, which should be enough for most connected devices. I chose to add a power surge as the lights will dim when the AC is turned on

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Frequency

These protectors are good for the price of $5.49.

The specs on these Cyberpower surge protectors are about the same as the Tripp Lite spikecubes that I've favored for years. And cyberpower protections cost nearly half what Revain did in September 2019. Damage protection for connected devices is $25,000, while the Spikecube is just $5,000. BUT, be sure to register your defender on the Cyberpower website! Otherwise you cannot assert any claims for damages.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Did NOT protect my $2000 projector!

Recently, lightning struck a tree near my house and burned out several of my electronic devices. I was hoping that CyberPower's surge protector would save my $2,000 home theater projector, but unfortunately the surge protector didn't help one iota. The cost of repairing the projector is almost the same as what I originally paid, so I guess I'm unlucky. My last-ditch effort will be to see if they actually honor their $25,000 Connected Equipment Warranty. Still waiting for an answer. Until thenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Bought two of these, one for my parents to use in the microwave and extra protection for my iMac. We had to rotate the outlet 180 degrees during installation for the high power microwave because the outlet itself didn't have enough room below to install this surge protector (the outlet is in an upstairs closet and was fairly close to the shelf). ). This wasn't a typical situation, but you do need about 1-3/4 inches of clearance under the outlet itself (not the panel, just the outlet you'reโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, it's ok

Good brand and rating for the price

This keeps the pins closer to the top so most plugs will still fit the top socket when plugged into the bottom one. The LED was too dim but should work as an indicator - it was off when I first hooked it up in my workshop. I opened the terminal box and found the ground wire had come loose. So the indicator has already saved me from the potential danger of electrocution. Last week I had a massive power surge in my small Florida home that blew out 6 out of 9 of my surge protectors. This happenedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
