IT'S SMALL! - Scientific background

I'm sure the quality is good but I must have thought the measurements are in inches and not centimeters otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. I have several different but similarly priced items to get my 6 year old interested in the science of light and these are pathetically small and ridiculous compared to the others. It's my fault for not paying attention to the product descriptions, but it's SMALL!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

Chipped but still cool

Unfortunately my cube arrived a little dented, chipped on one edge and cracked on the corner. Other than that, it's a gorgeous little prism that otherwise appears pristine. There is a strange polarization between the two faces. You can see this by bringing it to the LCD screen and slowly rotating it either horizontally or vertically. Whenever the screen goes blank, that is the direction of your polarization. This is actually very handy as I work with blown glass and you can use a linearโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Nice prism, good support from seller

The prism is really nice and looks like a rainbow in the light. Please note this is NOT a dice. The non-optically opaque sides of the cube are square and have longer edges than the rectangular optical sides. (See photo.) The matte sides also show where the seams of the prisms' inner surfaces intersect, but they're almost invisible when looking at the optical edges. I would also like to point out that my product came with a small chip on the non-optical side. I contacted the seller (CynKen) andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
