Couldn't get it to work

Don't know if it still works. I didn't manage to set it up. I've had this camera before and it's usually easy to set up, but this one won't connect to my wifi. Not sure if it's just defective or something but other than that the seller is ok and the item arrived quickly. Update: 11/15/2020 - After contacting Dlink support I still couldn't get this camera to work so I'm returning it.

Easy setup but not the best camera

I have a D-Link 930 and 932 and they are just as good if not better this. The software and app required to use this camera is also terrible. The old software was much easier to use and worked great. This app/software doesn't work at all. Also, I could use other cameras with regular TCP-IP camera software and applications, not this one. I'll probably stick with my EZViz cameras, which are much easier to set up and too software-centric.

Doesn't record continuously. Doesn't detect movement.

I have been using D-Link cameras successfully for many years. But this camera is very disappointing. First, the ad claims it can continuously record to an SD card. It can't. It can only respond to motion events. To make matters worse, this camera doesn't properly detect motion events. If a cloud obscures the sun and thereby changes the overall brightness, this triggers an event. But if a person walks directly in front of the camera, it will NOT trigger any movement. I've tried all motionโ€ฆ

Cannot set IP address - does not work with DLink DNR

I bought this camera to replace the old DCS933L camera. I have several Dlink cameras and a DLink DNR-312L (NVR). This camera has a good wide angle picture, but it doesn't work with the DNR-312L because you can't set its IP address. You need to tell the DNR-312L the IP addresses of all the cameras you want to save video from. With the old DlInk cameras I have (DCS933) you can login to the web interface and set their IP address along with many other settings. This camera can only be accessed viaโ€ฆ
