There should be a class action lawsuit for this brick

Absolutely awful So many bugs. requires a downgrade to restore missing options, which randomly disappear after a few months of use (just a record button, nothing major, that needs to be pressed for some reason when it decides to stop recording on a specific schedule). Months of lag time between the release of a new camera model and support on DVDR-Link quietly introduced a new firmware and hardware version, leaving the original A2 model in the dust. Dlink never responds to forum posts from this

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Modernity

Not plug and play, bugs and the noisiest fan

Bought 2 of these units. The first came and struggled with all web browsers to set up the system. Since D-Link released Microsoft's trusted certificates in 2015, IE, Edge, Chrome, and Firefox prevented the program from running on all browsers. I had to contact support and change my security settings so Firefox wouldn't check Java security and then I could install the latest firmware. I was then able to set up the system to work with my D-Link cameras. A fan error has occurred. The temperatureโ€ฆ

Save money, buy something else!

To put this in perspective, I've been a certified computer engineer, webmaster, and programmer for almost 35 years. The step-by-step guide completely omits mention of the required hard drives, let alone how to install them. Luckily I knew they were needed and needed and just installed them. The documentation was also wrong, and what lights were on or how to troubleshoot. The included setup wizard couldn't find the device either. It seems that you need to completely disable your antivirus for it

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Some Cons

This device works fine with my iPhone and iPad, but I couldn't connect it to any of my Apple computers. Computers see my nine cameras and NVR, but I always get an error message when trying to connect. I can sign in but the process never completes. The "wheel" just keeps turning until it finally gives an error message! It works very well with my TV, but you have to adjust the screen size of your TV or you can't see the edges of the display. I can do it on one TV but the other cannot compensateโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Exchange Availability

Great potential but obvious error

Update February 4, 2016: NO BUSINESS SOLUTION. I ended up replacing the device, which at least allowed the firmware to be updated. Please note: - If you do not have Internet Explorer and Active X installed with all required drivers, you will not be able to configure the device. Most of my firmware update attempts failed until I found out. Currently, attempts to update the firmware often fail. Even though all firmware in the DNR-322L and cameras is up to date with the latest versions availableโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
