Good build, a few flaws.

Having used the Xacto Ball Cutter for many years on various projects I was hoping it would get a little better. Instead, I've encountered a few compromises. First end the edges I lay the paper on to make the right angle cuts about an inch from the cut edge. This gives thin strips of paper the ability to "flex" under the force of the blade and is of limited use on short pieces. bulky and moves on a translucent guide/track. This means I can't easily press this strip to hold the paper in place…

My old guillotine paper cutter, over 30 years old, is finally showing its age and the cuts are less accurate. They had a large (48 inch cutting length) disc cutter/trimmer in my office and I liked the performance of the rotary cutter so I decided to look for a personal sized rotary cutter/trimmer for home use. After checking out the few I settled on the Dahle 507, mainly because of the guide the cutting block slides on. The rail supports both the lateral and vertical position of the blade, so I

I did a little research before purchasing. I have cutters for various things, but I wanted a straight cutter that could cut larger paper without spending a fortune. $36 was worth trying. My first problem was that I thought I needed a large base for the paper, but turns out the area is large enough to make it lighter and easy to clean. Secondly I haven't used rotary cutters and seen things saying you need to get bigger ones for this but this one seems pretty damn good with a really clean cut for
