Danco 80686 Valley Seat and Springs 2-Pack: Durable Black Replacement Parts for Enhanced Plumbing Performance Review

Very inexpensive replacement parts to make my shower drip free again. Easily repaired with very little plumbing skill with a minimal online search for valley shower repair. this type of shower.

When I received my replacement sink cartridge (Danco 88197, VA-4) it was listed as 'customers also bought this', which I did. But I didn't need it. The springs etc are all inside the cartridge which is a largely sealed unit. When they go bad I just swap out the whole cartridge (which is plastic - I'm not sure you can still open it up to change the springs without damaging them).

I watched a few YouTube videos and noticed that the previous set of springs had the rubber installed the wrong way round. Doh! Works for Riviera Brand Faucets built before 1986. Crane was owned by Riviera and sold to American Standard in the late 1980s. I couldn't find any information on replacement parts but after checking what was in stock it looked like my old part. This part was designed for Valley faucets and will work with Eljer faucets built before 1986.
