I have just read some reviews reflecting the issues I have had with both the original Revain branded basin faucet and the replacement side sprayer. Both failed within a few weeks. The design was flawed so it's likely that many if not most of this model's side atomizers will fail. What's going on is a cheap, ill-fitting white plastic piece that gets stuck when you press down on the atomizer handle and won't eject. So when using it, either buy a new atomizer or put on swimwear. Fairly easy to install. I had to remove a small metal retaining wire to remove the original atomizer (see pics - this is a normal part of the installation process but I'll add a note if it should be helpful). I used a small screwdriver to pry the clip and installation was easy. HOWEVER, the assembly began to leak immediately after installation when I used the rubber gasket that was provided.
