No problem. Also works great for fixing bad Cat5e cables

I bought this to fix/replace bad Cat5e cables. I have a few cords that I throw away at home/work because they break. I noticed that the plugs are mostly damaged. I bought this kit to try to salvage/reuse old cables. Do you think I'm going "green"? So I tried it on some bad cables. Cut the ends, clean, reseal and voila! Works perfectly. If you make 5 cables, it pays quite a bit. I had no issues except that the case includes a molded plastic tray that holds the tools. in one of these two…

The price is reasonable and serves its purpose.

I work in IT and I had a much more expensive device stolen from a website I was working on. Bought as a spare for a quick project. It's average quality compared to some of the more expensive Revain kits but they work as expected and get the job done. The case feels a little cheap, but again, it protects the tools and gives you an easy way to store and transport your tools. I can easily see latches and hinges breaking over time. You can see the stress points on the case in the attached photos…

Ideal for DIYers

This isn't for a professional installer, but it's great for the occasional DIY network. The kit includes everything you need to hardwire and maintain your home or small business network. I have a professional photo studio and we work with large files, so wireless doesn't work well for me. So the cheapest installers I could find were charging around $1200 to install a Cat5e network. It was a two person job, but my studio manager and I used it to wire my photo studio's network in about 10 hours…

Not bad for the money.

Very nice instrument but I don't see the Paladin name anywhere on the instrument I received. My name is Datashark. The tools seem to be working fine. This is my first time making my own cables, so it's difficult for me to compare the quality. I did three cables tonight just to see how well it works. The incisors were sharp and worked well. The crimps lined up well when complete. All cables have been tested and work as expected. The only complaint is that the case is very thin. I assume that the

Good buy for the hardware but not the body

The hardware itself is very good and works great, very easy to use and manage. 4/5 stars because I was expecting a slightly nicer body, its exterior and interior moldings are cheap plastic. The plastic hinges which were originally navy blue like the rest of the case have now turned white and I've only opened the case 5 times. It's only a matter of time before they stop and close. The inner molding that everything sits in is even thinner plastic and with normal wear and tear (if you're working…

Suitable for the amateur, not for the professional.

This is a pretty good kit for the hobbyist or light cable maker, but don't expect too much from it. Let's start with the crimping tool. The included crimper is actually a decent little crimper. If you're not making too many cables it will get the job done, but if you're hanging a patch cord from an entire rack be prepared for hand cramps because without the ratchet function it can be quite a chore to squeeze this little tool for hours. The stripper included in the kit does a very good job. As…
