perfect for emergency kits

I was listening to The Big One podcast (earthquake survival guide). I live blocks from the fault line. The show prompted me to add some items to my emergency kit and change where I store things like water. I still have several gallons of water in the large tank, but now I've placed these water bags in my car and strategically around my house. I never want to use it, but love having a stash like this on hand as I know I don't have to worry about drinkability. I tried one. Refreshing. Now I'm…

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Very clean! Has a slight plastic taste as usual

Working in the purified water industry and being a top-notch survivalist, I have tested most of the water sold in these little bags. Many if you look are just tap and packaged. The TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) I've seen ranges from 100 to 300 ppm, which is normal. This water is HIGHLY purified. I did a simple test here and checked it in the lab and they both turned out to be 4ppm. Purified water is 10 ppm or less. Distilled water has 5 or even 1 ppm. This is reverse osmosis water and has been…

expired water and lid try

I received a box of this water with the expiration date on the box being 2024. The box was wet so I knew we had to have a leak. When I opened the suitcase to check for a leaking water bag, I found that all but 19 of the 64 bags had expired in May 2020 - 4 months before the bag was received. The remaining 19 were newer. They were dated 2025. One of the two unexpired 2025 water bags was empty (I found my leak!). It's like this company tried to hide expired water in another case and then put…

Emergency drinking water bag

I've used these in both my military and civilian life in the past. These pouches are designed to be frozen and thawed repeatedly without damaging the contents or packaging - I haven't found one that doesn't fit yet. ., other emergency kits you may have, and as short-term cover during a crisis when you're out of water. The packaging is strong but I still put them in my freezer bag, you never know how many knocks and falls they'll have to endure. The price is right, you'll find them cheaper at…

Why you should and why you shouldn't!

My wife and I bought a box of these to share amongst our bug bags. We haven't tried it yet, but honestly we hope we never have! Drinking out of a plastic bag doesn't sound that romantic. Although on the other hand I'm glad I have it. It looks like a great water reserve in your home, car, bug bags and anything else you can think of. So many of them come in one box and they are very cheap in my opinion. You can spread them across different areas of your life in case you find yourself in a…
