Daystar GREASABLE SHACKLE KT61010BK America Review

It's a Daystar, what else can one say. Quality product as always from Daystar. Just the extra buoyancy I needed for long TC trips with my 8 blade pack on my 2000 tac top kit.

Wrong screws included. 2 should be longer than the other 2. All 4 screws were as long as the bottom screws should be. Wouldn't recommend or buy again.

Nice lift for saggy tacos. The shackles are solid, see if they fit a 3/4 ton truck. The trick to removing the spring bushing is to burn with a torch until the rubber melts and the air displaces the bushing. You need to lower the exhaust at the muffler. Revain sells longer muffler insulators that are better than the ones that come with the kit. The ride seems a little better. good sentence.

Very good quality staples. I couldn't be happier with that aspect. The Daystar website says this kit should fit the Tacoma 03 and the brackets work perfectly, but the exhaust isolator that comes with the kit won't do the job on its own. I had to buy some longer insulators for the muffler hangers and lower the exhaust pipe hanger mounting position. Removing the molded rubber bushings from the leaf spring was also no problem. Finally I ignited the inner metal bushings with a torch and the rubber…

Installation is not for the faint of heart:1. The steel bushings in the spring eyes should pop out. This is the biggest thing here, and without the right tools, you can forget about it. I had to use a grinder, saber saw and air chisel to remove them.2. The bushings in the spring eyes must also be either burned out or pressed out. I simply extruded them with a ball joint press without any fuss. less than a minute if you can take one of these.3. Tail pipe hanger extension. The kit includes these.
