I had problems with my old 10hp Deere. There are no spark problems. I took the spool to my local dealer and got a new spool. It worked, but only for a year or two. Again no spark. I decided to look here at Revain and found this role. Smaller than what I paid for the other and slightly larger in diameter. It was a role that was his. The coil that came with the mower when it was purchased was the wrong one. Thank you Rewin!

This is a foreign made product (and I knew about it before buying) but the price is right. Installed and started the tractor. It helps if you know your coil is bad. I recommend testing a new one before installing. Other than that, the product works as intended. Time will tell if she's strong enough. The seller shipped this spool promptly and I received it earlier than expected. That speaks for itself!.

COIL OVERHEATED AND HOT AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF THE WIRE AT THE FIRST START. The coil was advertised as being for the k301 Kohler engine (which requires an internal resistor). Either the coil has no internal resistance or the resistance is too small. The lack of resistance of this coil caused too much current and with it a dangerous development of heat. Both Revain and manufacturer DB Electrical declined to take responsibility or even investigate the problem.
