Works as described, quality goods.

Installation was great, works great with my charger. My starter already had a gasket in the old starter so I reinstalled it.

So Far So Good: Starters & Alternators

So far so good, like the others, it's definitely noisier than the factory starter, but the trade-off for reliable starting is definitely worth the little extra noise.

Pros
  • Starters & Parts
Cons
  • Expensive

Whining but Crank Starters

I bought this for a 2008 Dodge Charger that didn't start intermittently. After a thorough diagnosis, I determined that it was the starter, or at least the magnet that was attached to the starter. I bought this as a cheap setup and the intermittent problem is gone. But it hums at startup. I'm not sure if it needs seals or if it's a manufacturing defect, but the car starts reliably when I turn the key to the crank position. For this reason alone I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
