Do not buy! He will melt!

Don't buy this. This is a suicidal piece of after-sales service! It will melt and leave you stuck or kill you if your bike loses power! This part will melt with 100% guarantee. The creators of this part must be banned before their part kills anyone!

Works great and is MUCH cheaper than OEM

Price can be wrong. The OEM part for my Nighthawk 750 is $70. It works as it should, BUT it turned out that my battery was the culprit. It read 12.83 volts but the bike would not start. My advice: try to start from scratch before buying this part.

Plain junk is best in electrics and batteries

I don't know how they are made but this damn thing has been causing serious problems on my bike. As with some of the other reviews, the damn thing was closed and kept cranking the starter. Pulling the key and flicking the switch wouldn't stop it and I had to sit and wait for the battery to die. Save yourself the hassle and heartache and spend your money on another brand.

One bad thing about this is that the two main terminals are very close to each other.

I used this in a 1982 Honda FT500 Ascot to replace the stock starter cylinder relay. * Make sure to check contact with your specific wiring harness. If the cables are incorrectly connected, other starting mechanisms may be damaged when connected to the battery. On the FT500, incorrect wiring can burn out the starter controller. One bad thing is that the two main terminals are very close to each other. I had to cut a bit from the two ring clamps. Not so hot what's up.

BE CAREFUL IN THE HANDLE POSITION

ordered db electricrcal because I have had good luck with other products they offer. It wasn't here. As soon as I installed this solenoid, the black cover came off exposing the innards of this solenoid. I thought I could still use it, but I was wrong. A week after installation, the solenoid was stuck in the CRANK position on takeoff. I turned the ignition off with the switch and removed the key and my bike STILL started. I had to hurry and disconnect the battery, but by then a minute had passed
