it fits my laptop but comes with the wrong cable which I had to order separately from another seller on the Amazon marketplace. As far as installing and securing the drive, it does it quite well.

I bought my computer without a hard drive, so it had an empty hard drive bay and connector on the motherboard with the label "hard drive" next to it. I just bought this, plugged it into my motherboard (blue plastic side up), sealed the hard drive with tape and closed the lid. The laptop recognized the hard drive without flinching. $10 is pretty steep for a basic cable, but it was my cheapest option on Amazon (that's $4 on Alibaba, but 3 months shipping and ½ return versus Amazon's 2-day…

I bought it thinking it was just a cable and basically universal to transfer data between 2.5Drive and motherboard. And I've read the comments saying it's plug and play. But in my case no, and now I need to find something that happens because the mainboard and SO don't recognize each other

Does not work. This is a qualifying laptop and this product will not function properly. After I plugged in my SSD and then connected via this cable. I just can't find my search disc. I try both sides of the cable but it doesn't work.

Works GREAT on HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cp0xxx

. for $89 why not have 1TB more in there. **CABLE** You will have to bend it a little, be careful it will go in very neatly. The only complication is that this case does not come with screws and DOES NOT plan to screw it to the case. Basically, you have to screw the SATA SSD to this metal frame. Be sure to use thicker cap screws and then use the rubber/plastic side covers and they should be wedged in there fairly well. To avoid future problems I also use a small piece of tape and .LISTO! fits…
