Super hung! in Picture Hanger

I hate hanging pictures. The nail came loose a bit and I either live with that or live with an unnecessary hole in the wall. So it takes me a long time to get the courage to hang up pictures - until I buy it! It worked great! My only complaint is that it made me feel a bit thinner/closer to the wall) but don't let that put you off buying it! 14 nails in total)

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • A little repairability

Works great in certain circumstances

Other reviewers note that this works best with certain types of frames, and that's certainly true. For other types of frames (all the ones we hung) it's almost useless. If there were more instructions than four little illustrations, I know this wouldn't work for us. I'll probably return it tomorrow. Maybe they know that telling people more specifically what it can do would mean they wouldn't sell nearly as much.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Medium

Everything but the hammer

Unique and useful. It's built with one goal in mind, and it does it well. The weight limit is 6 pounds, which is the maximum that an average person can comfortably handle with one hand. The horizontal arms are foldable and the handle and horizontal measuring tabs are adjustable vertically and horizontally. The handle has a spirit level. It comes with a small number of small screws and hooks in a handy flip-top box. I am sure that hanging frames on the wall will become easier for everyone. Noโ€ฆ

Too fat and clumsy.

The principle is great, but the big problem with this device is its uncomfortable thickness and the parallax errors it causes. Finally, you need a second person to see the placement of the image from a distance, which severely limits its usefulness. If you accidentally hang a picture in the middle of a large room, that's okay. But for aligning a series of images with an architectural feature or with each other, it's useless unless you have a person you can recognize from afar. If they had aโ€ฆ

Skip this unless there are only small parts hanging

It is almost unusable. The side wings don't snap well, making alignment difficult. It's also not wide enough to hang larger items, which isn't necessarily a disadvantage, but doesn't help if you have an item wider than 24 inches that has hooks on the edges of the frame. If the hook or wire is more than a few inches from the back of the item, this tool should not be used. The tiny level is difficult to see. Also, the little box of hanging accessories is easy to open and pour out when hangingโ€ฆ

Works surprisingly well

I've used this to hang some paintings, wall art and some canvas art. It's simple, but works surprisingly well. You hang your photo or artwork on the hook/tab of this item, lean it against the wall where you want it and press lightly. This creates a tiny indentation in the drywall right where your nail/screw goes. The built-in bubble level is a nice feature, as are the flared wings when hanging pictures side-by-side. The only thing that bothers me is that the tongue could have been a bit further

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
