The tape is not very strong. Also before.

Tape is not very strong. Even before my first ride, the tape peeled off and detached from the handlebars. Basically it was completely useless.

The band was brittle and didn't like to stretch at all

The band was brittle and didn't like to stretch at all. It also seemed thinner than I expected. Replaced with performance physics tape and couldn't be happier.

  • The cord was shorter than others

Good Bar Tape Bar Tape

Nice bar tape! Thicker and softer than most and has a nice neutral texture without being too aggressive or smooth. Come with cool graphite plugs on the ends of the rods! Definitely one of the best padded handlebars out there. If you want something with a good feel and comfort these are the best and they are well priced too!

Not the best tape I've ever used

In short, not the best tape I've ever used. I bought it because it was cheap but it was very short. I wrapped the levers in a figure eight, only covering 1/3 of the tape. This was in the 70's for my dad's Viscount and I know the bars can't be wider than a 39 or 40 and the drop isn't that big either. It was barely enough for me to get to the apartments. I will use Sram Supercork next time.

Pros
  • Bar Tape
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

That's good tape!: Bar Tape

I picked up a packet of this tape from LBS yesterday and taped it to my Kona Jake before my morning ride today. Although I've never wrapped poles before, I haven't had much trouble putting it on, even over my old tape. After a 10 mile ride I am happy to report that it is both comfortable and stylish. I considered splurging on lizard skins, but my LBS only wears that and I generally trust their judgment. I'm happy! The only downsides to this tape are the adhesive strip on the bottom (which had…
