Cheaper than buying from Ford

This was a fairly simple setup for slowly lowering the tailgate without banging. The instructions could have been better, but anyone with even the slightest understanding of mechanics will figure it out.

Works well! on truck beds and tailgates

I've always been a Deezee fan and have been using their hatch dampers on my f150 for 4 years. I bought another 2022 Maverick for my dads and while it works well, it's a headache to install.

a hard part is the best in parts

followed the instructions and in half an hour everything was fine. The hardest part is putting the bottom nut in the hole and tightening it up. I used a 12" adjustable wrench to hold it in place and got it to 1/8". Then I put the nut in the hole, rotated it 90 degrees and used a screwdriver to loosen it while tightening it to the bracket. It can be done, but it's not easy. It works great

Works perfectly on my 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid

Easy install (but I had to buy a T50 Torx bit) but note no tools or bits are included - great if you already have everything, bad, if you don't have it! The instructions were very clear and fitted my new 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid perfectly. I only had to remove one of the two factory tailgate bottle openers (as shown in the attached instructions) but nothing is lost as there is another on the opposite side of the tailgate.
