Works as advertised. Good quality steel cable, long enough to go through the arm of my motorcycle jacket to keep it secure. Note that there is an extra step if you want the motion sensor to be activated as well. So you can lock things with and without a motion sensor, but you can also forget to turn on the motion sensor.

Won't stop a hardened thief but a common grab and go will stop and will definitely yell at you if someone moves your bag or computer. This is a great way to get "some" protection at a good price.

Identical to Targas but much cheaper. A few years later my Targas broke. I was considering a smaller/newer model with a shorter cord to save on my briefcase, but the longer cord really came in handy when there wasn't a snag in a nearby conference room. I usually use a desk stand for mounting and with this length of cable I can do it and not have to pull the computer to the edge of the desk. The flashing red light is a big plus in my opinion as it gives the lock a leave me alone look.

This item is amazing! After blocking it, you can press the button to activate the motion signal. There are 2 sensitivity levels you choose how many times you press the button. Every time it senses movement, it beeps. After 4 or 8 seconds of movement (2 levels of sensitivity), a different tone will sound and the alarm will start. The alarm clock is loud! It claims 110dB but I also have an alarm at the link below that is rated at 130dB and this is much louder. The motion sensor is very sensitive.
