The drain on the deep fryer had cracked, making it difficult to drain the old oil without major problems. The fryer still worked well so a part was purchased and installed. Now draining the used alt has become a breeze and without much mess. The removal and installation was not easy, but doable.

This is a very difficult task, you can find an appliance repair shop to do it for you. I did it, but not without great disappointment. Just an honest word of caution before taking on this project.

Reading other reviews I was concerned about replacing this part on my fryer. It wasn't difficult. Clean the device and make sure it is not slippery. I removed 3 screws and one screw. Using a flathead screwdriver, I separated the sides from the bottom. a pair of needle nose pliers to replace the real hose. No problem, it took me ten minutes and this new hose fits perfectly.
