So if you decide to buy this crib, I will definitely keep the old bed for your little one until you are sure there is no problem. As can be seen in the attached photo, this is a platform bed. It fits into your existing crib mattress if you plan on keeping it and using it to transfer your child to the new Delta toddler bed. It's not made out of heavy durable wood so don't trust the description. If you've been to an IKEA store, the material for this bed is very similar (chipboard). Very fine details.
