No more pressure washer in my shower!

I use this with my new hand held shower which turned out to be too powerful. It makes a little noise but not really louder than the shower head when all that unlimited water rushed out of it. If your shower is trying to explode, this will likely fix it.

Pros
  • Will suit many
Cons
  • Some little things

UPDATE. Resolved after 6 months. Now I'm looking for a more solid model. After installing my new power shower, every time I turned on the shower, I felt like I was being washed with water. I looked at new faucets, talked to plumbers, and finally checked out Revain and found this flow regulator. I think I took mine off when I installed the new shower head. Went like clockwork!

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No power

Bought to relieve crazy high water pressure.

Purchased to relieve the insanely high water pressure in one of our non-restrictor showers. I was trying to find one to add to the hand sprayers at the local big stores but they were out of stock. I tried this one and it seems to work fine. No weird extra noises or anything noticeable other than a softer stream from the shower. Oddly expensive for what it is, but turning off the water in this shower is worth every penny to us.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

(I ordered 2) Poor quality. I went to install them and one.

(ordered 2) Poor quality. I went to install them and one of them failed with the outer rubber ring snapping into place. When I installed the second unit, which took a week, the kids complained that the water pressure started up again. The found rubber ring of the second block also let go, and the adapter ring went into the shower head. Now I'll have to try another type that bolts to the shower head, or maybe just order a new shower head (since I can't get that plastic disc out). I will say that

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are cons

Not very versatile. Maybe it goes better with Delta tips, but it didn't work very well with my Moen tip. This reduced flow from over 2.5 GPM to 1.5 GPM and flow was still more than adequate. The problem with this is that the rubber pad on the outside doesn't fit very well and was torn from the water pressure after the first few minutes of the first shower. Since it didn't hit anything hard, I found a rubber grommet that fills the space between the end of the pipe and the pivot point of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Volume

how to install

Simple and what I think is a good device. But I really can't tell. Supplied in a small plastic bag. One side of the disc is slightly different from the other. So how do you install? (no instructions for the device) I installed it before contacting Delta) Oops! Then I contacted Delta. The representative said that both sides are equal. NOT. I opened the pipe fitting to inspect the device. It fell apart (apparently I installed it the wrong way around?) I closed the fitting with the damaged deviceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and clumsy

Quiet, Gentle Flow Reduction

This adjusted my shower head's flow rate from a painful to a gentle 1.2 GPM with my insane 80+ psi water pressure. Final flow rate will depend on your shower head (it was used with a 2.5 GPM head) so actual flow will likely be less than the advertised 1.5 GPM unless you have an old high flow head and much water. Print. The noise level is very good (can't tell) unlike some other pressure reducing valves which produce a loud hiss of water when turned down. I'm still debating whether or not to use

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Damaged
