Demy BSK Reflectors Red Bicycle Kit Review

Installed on my trike (lost the old one); It's a decent size and appears to have good reflectivity. I was able to press it firmly against the mounting hardware and line it up properly. All parts are strong enough for normal use. A metal bracket would be stronger but this one works for me too!

My main issue with this reflector is that it is not wide enough to fit the diameter of my handlebars so I had to remove the reflector from the mounting arm and attaching it to the bracket of my broken bike reflector. I would also like to point out that the plastic on this reflector mount seems a lot softer and cheaper than my old broken reflector. If you have a Specialized Sirrus 1.0 bike, be aware of this issue.

What is this reflector for? I was trying to install it on a kids bike but the clamp for it can only clamp a 0.5" OD tube. For fun I tried installing it elsewhere on this kids bike but there isn't a tube small enough to fix it. This product can only be used when you only need the lens. But for the same price, you can get a bag of bike lenses. Why isn't there a zero star rating?

The diameter of the mounting ring on this reflector is too small for any adult or large child's bike. It is not possible to fit a reflector if your bike does not have a frame carrier with the correct diameter. I bought this thinking it would be a regular rear reflector for a regular bike seatpost mount, but it's not. Luckily I was able to use my old reflector's mounting ring and the reflective portion of this product to work together.

The only problem I have with the reflector kit is the front end, bear to get around the handlebars, I thought it was going to break. The rear (red) reflector does not fit on the seat post; I couldn't even get the screw in, so it's only held in place by the plastic spring. The seat post is about 1 inch long so why not make the clamp big enough or put a longer bolt. I would send it back but my son was so excited for his reflectors.

The reflector itself is excellent. It does exactly what it's supposed to: it reflects the light falling on it. It exposes a metric screw for attachment to the bracket. So far, so good. And then the problems begin. First, the mounting bracket is fairly limited in terms of the amount it can support. The manufacturer really should state the supported range.
