These are great little touches. I really enjoy them. I live in a high rise building and they have two windows. They're easy to assemble, but it takes some time and attention to arrange all the wires with the lights to look like fireworks, but it's worth it. I would love the different light patterns and colors and would love if they were 6 inches taller.

For some reason I was afraid they wouldn't work, but they work. I bought 3 different types and am happy to report that they all work with the same remote control! You have to "aim" it at everyone, but that's better than struggling with 8 remotes! Some were placed outside, others in the basement. So far, so good! (PS- I bought a large pack of AA batteries on sale as each takes 4 batteries. Get ready!)

(4 stars only because the batteries in the remote are dead, however the lights are fully functional without the remote as the light itself has a power button that allows you to switch between different modes.) I got them 4 years ago Bought July because my family decided not to set off fireworks this year and we were looking for something to make our patio more festive. I started with a pair and we will be sure to add more lights next year.

Bought to hang on two hanging plant hooks on the porch for Christmas. They were very nice and the only ones in the area. Being out in the cold I didn't think the batteries would last long but they lasted four weeks and I only had to change the batteries once in a slightly less windproof battery. Although the batteries of the others were significantly weaker, I didn't have to change them all over the Christmas period. I took out the batteries after putting them away for a year.

I like the lighting concept BUT THE BATTERIES don't fit well. It needs to be tilted to the side for it to work. It is very difficult to put the lid on. It took three people and about an hour of duct tape to get it working. I had to glue the batteries first and then glue the cover. It was very uncomfortable. All in all, this is a wonderful creation. I bought it for the second time despite this problem: Other wireless signals can turn on the light and cause it to change modes. The receiver in the light doesn't seem to be able to tell our remote control from the TV, or the remote control from the dish, or some others. I'm assuming it's some inexpensive circuit in the lamp, so I walk into the room and find that the mode has changed or is turning on by itself. I bought these and a couple of white ones but from a different brand so it's easy to compare how well they work. I wouldn't recommend them for comparison. The colors are not those shown here. They are lighter in color and not as bright as other brands. One of the two switches on, then not again. No rhyme or reason when it works.
