Denis Wick valve oil

This new product is extremely effective. It contains some Teflon elements and has kept my valves from sticking since I started using it. As a semi-professional trumpeter, I find Wick oil to be the best oil I have found for keeping instrument valves running smoothly and reliably.

Pros
  • Contains PTFE for additional benefits
Cons
  • Frequency

Just got my Denis Wick Valave oil - half full, unmarked, very cloudy oil

I would like a seller to contact me. There is no point in returning a defective product. It spilled over the rest of my order, only half filled, cloudy and the label is completely missing. I would like the seller to send me a new bottle if possible. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Gives a silky feel to pistons and rotary valves
Cons
  • Needs an outlet

Big Googaliemoogalia!

It's bloody amazing! I've used everything from Hetman's to Bach to Al Cass, even some homemade valve oils, pretty much everything, but this is spot on! It is the best. 5. Rotor) and the rotor of my trombone. They are even faster than BlueJuice or even Al Cass. It also lasts longer than anything I've ever used. I wanted to see how long it would last so I cleaned and applied this oil. In doing so, I noticed that there was almost no odor (especially compared to the blue substance, at least to me).

Pros
  • PTFE does not vaporize and works in all temperature ranges
Cons
  • Zero

Good oil but there are a few problems.

I bought this oil because of the Denis Wick name and the fact that it has PTFE, a compound related to Teflon, in the ad. It also advertises itself as extremely durable. At first the bottle felt greasy when I took it out of the shipping carton. The oil appears to be migrating across the surfaces. After using it in my tube, the valve bodies always feel oily. If I clean them thoroughly and use them again, the oily feeling comes back. The applicator sometimes drips if I don't squeeze the bottle…

Pros
  • High quality petroleum distillate contains fewer impurities than other oils
Cons
  • Updates available
