It's just a piece of plastic with a thin foam cover. Not worth the money to be honest. I appreciate the effort in its functionality.

A must for a shrimp aquarium. Great idea Dennerele came up with to protect those little shrimp. I definitely recommend it.

A must-have item for an aquarium with nano shrimp or fry. Prevents them from being sucked into the filter. Fits easily and firmly onto the filter. Very satisfied.

But the price is too high for plastic. Since my Dennerle corner filter came with the Shrimp King set, I guess that protection should have come with it, because what kind of shrimp king (or queen) would have his little minions sucking and munching on a gluttonous machine? I mean, I suppose the EVIL Prawn King (or Queen) could have done it, but it wasn't the EVIL Prawn King Aquarium set that I bought. It's not even an option.

I have 17 shrimp in my aquarium. I know this because I often count them. I immediately suspected a filter after only counting 8 shrimp this morning. I immediately looked at the filter and found a little guy crawling into the filter! I opened the filter and rinsed it thoroughly in the tank.
