Great receiver look no further

I love this receiver! I'm using it in a 5.1.2 setup. Any forums that claim you can't use Atmos through ARC don't know what they're talking about either. It's true that you can't use DolbyTrueHD over ARC, but Atmos is metadata added to the encoding, so yes you can get Atmos over ARC.

Save time and money.

We have had nothing but problems since purchasing this product. When it really works it works fine but when something goes wrong it's almost impossible to fix because the customer service is terrible. You will wait almost an hour to speak to someone and they will fix it if you pay them the shipping cost. You will send it back and another problem will arise. Save money and time and find the best product.

Buyer Warning. well suited for receiver

customers Attention! I had this device for 3 days. First build, works great. switched off at night. Returned the next day, no sound! Reinstalled, the sound worked. Power cycled, no sound. Every time I needed sound, I had to redo the setup. Eventually I went back into setup and the installation froze completely. Turned away. And again the installation hung completely. Wash, rinse, repeat. Not good. Let the device run in the frozen state for 1 hour, turn it off and send it back.

Sounds good, Audyssey works surprisingly well, assignable zone 2 amp channels. Lots for the price. BUT the front left channel of the amp failed after a few hours of use. Luckily, this happened during Revain's return window. In addition, the Bluetooth reception is very poor. It burst 10 feet away in the same room, regardless of the original device. Warning! Guarantee difficult or impossible

I bought this unit about a year and a half ago and recently the HDMI output occasionally shows a black screen. It can happen 5 times a second every minute, or it doesn't happen at all while you're watching. Sometimes it turns off for almost a minute and the TV shows no input signal. I swapped out the cables and did some troubleshooting myself to see if the problem was with the receiver. No problem, I'll contact the warranty department. Excellent product - defunct customer service

This is (hopefully) the last update. Device returned after repair, NOT repaired. The problem got worse. I insisted on a replacement. I received this after I returned the defective device. They gave me a "refurbished" device with only 1 year warranty (not 2 like a new device). Struggled with that.
