Do not buy cheap, I took .

Don't buy the cheap one, I got the oxygen sensor from my local parts store and the check engine light that was on is still there. I thought I had a different problem with code P1167. I couldn't find any other problem so after reading some reviews I bought both upstream and downstream O2 sensors, cleared the code, started and stayed out. By the way, I have a 2000 Accord with V-Tec 4 cylinders.

Works great with sensors

I bought this for my 1999 Honda Accord ULEV 4 cylinder engine and it has been running great for a few years now. The reason I replaced the O2 sensor was because it gave an error message which caused the check engine light to come on. A replacement I got from a local parts store didn't solve the problem and then I found this statement that it was a ULEV engine and it worked fine for years. I recommend using the O2 sensor connector or you will have a miserable life trying to remove and reinstall…

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Discarded

Necessary replacement part if the O2 probe fails

Works as advertised, delivered on time. My old but still solid and reliable 2000 Honda Accord needed a replacement so I went out and bought this part. The installment wasn't too hard but to make it easy I needed a special tool from my cousin to make it a 10-20 minute process. It works well, now the car no longer threatens to die out at each stop and rumbles back to normal. Recommended (and required if the "Check Engine" light indicates this is a problem. Don't ignore these warnings, they're…

ULEV vs Non-ULEV – Know the Difference!

I made the mistake of trusting nimrods at Auto Zone when they told me what part would fit my 2000 Honda Accord. It turns out that the ULEV version of the car (aka CA emissions) uses a more sophisticated/expensive O2 sensor; it also has a slightly different name depending on who you're talking to. These guys are dipsticks: never trust a parts recommendation from there or Advance Auto Parts unless you're really sure the guy has brains. Picked up the right part without any problems. The Denso OEM…

ULEV 1999 Honda Accord LX - California

My 99 Honda Accord LX Check Engine Light came on at 45,000 miles. Read it with my ODBII reader and it came back P1164 - Primary O2 sensor (upstream, pre-cat). I cleared it with my OBDII reader and the CEL was gone but the C (Catalyst Monitor) icon on the OBDII reader kept flashing after driving the car a few miles and DTC P1164 came back last week. I bought this sensor, installed it myself and voila! The trip computer reset everything and the green light on my OBDII reader came on. Saved me a…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Empty

This O2 sensor fixed the 'Check Engine' light in my car. This is an O2 sensor that fits my 1999 ULEV (Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle) or Honda Accord LX (4 Cyl) with California emissions. Revain incorrectly listed a cheaper O2 sensor as the correct match, which I bought and returned to Revain. This O2 sensor (234-9025) was easy to install on the front of the engine with a custom slotted bushing that I also ordered from Revain for about $8. This is technically called an "air-fuel ratio sensor"…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Dear

For Honda Accord '98, '99, '00 with ULEV

Engine (F23A4). The two most obvious visual clues to this engine are (see other engine models) (Although 2001 and 2002 Accord engines look the same, they appear to use Denso part 234-9014) Installing this part created concurrent P1166 and P1167 CELs -Codes eliminated (check engine indicator). I've personally used an OBD2 reader to clear codes, although I've seen others see comments about removing the watch fuse or disconnecting the battery to clear codes. Installation is relatively easy, but…
