cool run in spares

Alison transmission cooler on my 2002, 2500HD with 8.1L. I used Shark Bite Fittings for the connection. So far, so good.

No more problems with parts

Transmission temperatures on hard moving vehicles that are frequently towed can only get better with a good transmission cooler. It took me a while to find a size that fit and had the high rating I was looking for my GMC Envoy Denali. I had to make a bracket because I don't like the idea of installing it through the radiator fins. and a capacitor. Works great, looks great and is inexpensive.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Fiction. Much better than the stock cooler

I bought this cooler to replace the factory transmission cooler on a 2005 Toyota Tundra. With the factory cooler installed, the transmission was about 60 degrees above ambient under normal driving conditions, as measured by a sump-mounted digital temp gauge. After replacing a small factory cooler with this unit, I tend to run about 40 degrees above ambient. The block replacement was well spent.

Perfect fit for Mercury Milan (similar to Ford Fusion)

Perfect fit for my 2006 Mercury Milan. I was able to place it in front of the cooler and it installed easily with the hardware that came with it. Before installing this cooler, I could not feel the temperature difference between the outgoing transfer line and the line coming from the factory cooler (both felt warm or hot). Now the return line feels cool, which I think is great news. It can be argued that such a large radiator is overkill for such a small car. However, you can't overcool a…

Very happy with this product. Very good results. Note: Including short hose.

Installed in my 1990 Ford Class C Motorhome with 460 EFI Gasoline and E40D Transmission. The transmission has just been serviced and testing found no temperature or pressure issues. I want it to work great. as heat greatly shortens the life of the E40D gearbox. I installed this plate and fin cooler in line with a factory installed plate and gear cooler or an internal radiator heater depending on your perspective. Ford's EEC-IV processor and feedback software range from 196 to 210 degrees…
