Dimensions Caution Recommended

Please note that the cool box requires more space than stated on the website. Due to the size of the mount. I had to find a completely different place for the cooler because although it has exactly the same dimensions as another cooler of a different style, it takes up more space.

Great cooler great deal

Great hardware. When used in a turbocharged car, this oil reached 240 degrees. I'll set it up and see what pace they show. Bench tests carried out and the temperature greatly reduced. the fan is noticeably louder. I couldn't resist buying because I bought it on sale. Slightly scratched but hey it will be behind the front bumper so who cares!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Something different

Hard to overheat

Complete kit with almost everything needed for installation. I needed some extra wire, more tubing, and fittings to connect it to my 3/8" plumbing since it's half an inch tall. The thermostat is good as it only turns on when you need it. I once went to 220 on a very long high mountain pass, went very fast in hot weather with a full load, otherwise it stays cool in most situations.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Requires socket

This is a cool box. it cools. I was a bit disappointed with the curves of the fan shroud/mount. There are stress cracks from bending and bending device. The quality of the equipment also leaves a lot to be desired. If I may ask, why not install a higher quality thermostatic switch on the intake side cooler itself (a visual aid to mark the intake from the outside). Also remove a link or two.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons

Doesn't work for my 4r100

No idea why but it didn't cool my transmission oil 1 degree. I have a 6.0 cooler on my 7.3 and it works great. However, I put it on for extra cooling for cool upgrades while towing my big fifth wheel. I mounted it under the truck. I've since changed it to the front. But it still didn't help. I'm not sure why the principle seems simple enough. I don't want to shut down a product if I'm not sure why it's not working, will keep experimenting.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • So far so good

200 - 225 to 140 -165 without turning on the fan!

Monster Transmission Cooler. I removed the trash cooler that the mechanic installed on my 2008 Silverado and replaced it with this Derale 15960. My truck ran smoothly from 200 to 225 degrees with only occasional trips into the 140-165 range with no fan! The transmission cooler was very easy to install, at least for me, because I simply removed the old cooler and rerouted the hoses. I connected the fan to the fog lights instead of the included sensor. In my case I can just turn on the fog lights

Good cooler, great fan, cheap thermostat.

Good cooler, great fan, works well. The supplied kit is marginal. They offer good AN connections on radiators and adapters, then move on to barbed connections with hose clamps to complete the kit. The thermostat switch bracket is pretty cheap. We have threads in the transition block for clearance to the switch itself. Even with the recommended use of thread sealant, gear oil leaked out of the thread sealant. In the end we used a light coat of black RTV to seal it. If it leaks again I'll switch…

Pros
  • High efficiency plate cooler
Cons
  • Modern

Works well for the most part, be very careful with o-ring fittings, tightening them will push the o-ring out and leak! I went to an ace and bought thicker o-rings. Too bad they only thread the radiator pipe! Works fine, otherwise the trans is not yet warm enough to start the fan. Keeps cool, brand new refurbished and wanted a great radiator, didn't go beyond 160* with a derale deep sump with cooling tubes, eventually we'll see what it does with the load behind it, new engine too, 25 miles so…

Pros
  • Can be mounted anywhere space permits. Bracket - 7-1/2" x 9"
Cons
  • Guard

Buy another thermal switch and longer hose

2001 Cummins Ram 2500. Overall an excellent product. The fittings that come with the cooler leak a bit even with the o-ring. Make sure the o-rings and threads are in good condition before installing this part. The compression fittings that come with them work, but the caps are cheap and I had to buy a new one. About 0.50 cents and a trip to the hydraulic depot. I mounted mine under the bed of my truck and strapped it to the front of the factory radiator. Due to bypassing the heat exchanger in…
