Deflector - Replacement Parts

Switches oil flow when oil is heated to 183 degrees. I can't track where the oil is going because of the damn black hose. But it works fine!

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Quality

Do not buy this item for spare parts

Poor quality product, the threads are cut so finely that you can make 2-3 full turns on the fitting before it becomes too tight to continue. Deflates immediately on start.

Pros
  • It's ok!
Cons
  • Expensive

Great quality, the best in thermostats

This is a great quality product - much better and more reliable than cheaper alternatives. If you live in a northern climate, this should be included in your transmission cooler kit.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Great Price

I was skeptical when I bought this but decided to save some money and it has worked well so far. It opens at 188 degrees Fahrenheit and starts circulating oil through my oil cooler. I recommend! I'm pretty sure Setrab buys them from Derale and calls them his own and takes a lot more. When you look at them, they look the same.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Easy to install, works well

Just installed on my 77 MGB oil cooler system. No mounting bracket required. I bought 1/2 inch brass ends from my local Lowes store in addition to thread tape called Megatape which is thicker than teflon tape. After sealing the brass threads, I installed each end of the thermostat with a 13/16" spark plug. pulling them down. My rubber hoses trimmed and installed as directed, each secured with a 1" zip tie. Got the car for a long drive The thermostat worked as specified and no leaks were found…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cables shorter than others
