it's a nice compact temperature switch

fairly simple little switch in an AN fitting seems to be working well so far. works well for temperature controlled fans with relays

Pros
  • 180 degrees Fahrenheit default switch on temperature
Cons
  • I really don't like it everything is fine

Technically it is not a thermostat!

Thermostat - flow controller. This is a temperature sensor. Difference. DIFFERENCE! I installed it but not sure if it works - it's (obviously) under the hood and I'm (usually) in the car when it moves. Should I install an indicator that tells me if the fan is on?

Pros
  • The shutdown temperature is set to 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared.

The manufacturer needs a new hole tap

The first tap I bought only screwed in about two turns. I turned the brass screw back and forth many times trying to move the threads freely. . then the brass head of the brass screw was sheared off. The replacement I bought was the same. I skimmed it though and cleaned the threads. All is well. It just stinks that I now have a $40 device that I can't use. If someone has a spare brass bolt and can remove the broken one, they can be salvaged.

Pros
  • -10AN inlets
Cons
  • Reliability
